STO is governed by a Board of Directors. The Co-Chairmen of the Board of Directors are Richard M. Goldberg, MD, from the University of North Carolina and Patrick G. Johnston, MD. PhD, from Queens University, Belfast. They provide guidance to the staff and committees of the Society.
The CME Program is overseen by the CME CO-Chairs whose function it is to provide subspecialized expertise on specific cancer types:

In addition, the clinical content of CME activities and Journal articles is managed by the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC). Members of the MAC represent some of the leading authorities in oncology worldwide. The MAC develops and implements policies concerning the scientific accuracy and fair balance of all CME activities. In addition, they oversee the resolution of conflicts of interest, and assure that activities are free of commercial bias.
